I was trying to work on an updated rework process to conform to the new standards and when I got to section 2.4.6.1 subsection 4 it states " iv. Inspections and analyses shall conform to the requirements outlines in element 2.5.6; and "  I couldn't find a 2.5.6? Can anyone else?

You're quoting 2.4.6.1 of edition 7.2, in which 2.5.6 does exist as product sampling.

Edition 8 2.4.6.1 make no mention of 2.5.6, and simply states:

2.4.6.1Rework (recycle or regroup) activities shall be controlled and traceability ensured.

Hence why you can no longer find 2.5.6, it is no longer referenced.

Unfortunately 2.5.6 is referenced in 8.0 2.4.6.1 ----

2.4.6 Product Rework
2.4.6.1 The responsibility and methods outlining how ingredients, packaging materials, or products are reworked shall be documented and implemented. The methods applied shall ensure:
i. Reworking operations are supervised by qualified personnel;
ii. Reworked product is clearly identified and traceable;
iii. Each batch of reworked product is inspected or analyzed as required before release;
iv. Inspections and analyses shall conform to the requirements outlined in element 2.5.6; and
v. Release of reworked product shall conform to element 2.4.7
2.4.6.2 Records of all reworking operations shall be maintained.

And  yes, there is no 2.5.6 in 8.0.... thus an error has been found and SQFI is aware of it.

Can you point me towards the download you're using? I don't see these in either SQF food safety fundamentals, code for primary production, or the quality code.

SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing - not primary.
