Good Day,

Am hoping someone can provide me with some guidance.  Part of SQF compliance is having a list of the countries you ship your product to and the allergens of each of these countries.

Does anyone know of a website where you can obtain this information?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The chart above is very good, however, keep in mind that legislation is always changing. Allergens can be changed or updated without you being aware so I find it best practice to always look directly at the source where possible to ensure compliance is up to date and accurate. This should be done regularly.

I’ve found and included some links for Food Allergens in the EU, USA, and Canada below as an example for the sort of pages to look out for.

Food Allergens in EU

https://www.fsai.ie/..._allergens.html

Food Allergens in the USA

https://www.fda.gov/...s/ucm106890.htm

Food Allergens in Canada

http://www.inspectio...6/1332442980290

You can find similar pages for any of the other countries you ship product to as well and compare those allergens directly against the source.

Susan,

I found a document from the Tanzanian Food and Drug Authority website, it may point you in the right direction:

http://www.tfda.or.t...OD PRODUCTS.PDF

However, you will notice that it is an unauthorized scan of an original document so I can’t testify to its veracity.  I would advise you to take this information with a grain of salt and proceed carefully, but it should be a good starting place for you.

You should be able to find similar pages for the other countries’ organizations that you need with a bit of digging on Google. Best of luck J

Tomato Country Girl,

Do you know what section of the SQF code stated you need to list the allergens of countries you are shipping to? I have never come across this and we are getting ready to do a Level 2 certification.

2.8.1.1 Allergen Management (M)

iii. A register of allergens which is applicable in the country of manufacture and the country (ies) of destination if known;

This is for SQF Edition 8.0

you can download the SQF code form their website www.sqfi.com
