Hi JC,
Offhand i would assume highly unlikely to be mandatory since fssc22000 does not require using the Standard ISO 9001.

Just a little bit clarification,
version 4.1:July 2017,the latest FSSC version effective from January 2018. the scheme consists of separate components that shall be audited as a single system:
1) ISO 22000:2005 food safety management system requirements
2) ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements- when selected (FSSC 22000 Quality)
3)Sector specific re-requisite programs (PRPs) requirements
4)Additional requirements
where am not clear is on component number 2

Hi joelchenda,
I suggest you ask yr intended auditor. Probably the quickest solution.
Kind Regards,

It says "When selected." You can have FSSC 22000, or you can have FSSC 22000 Quality.
FSSC 22000 is ISO 22000 and ISO 22002-1 technical standard.
FSSC 22000 Quality is both of the above AND ISO 9001.
