Has anyone been through a Coke Audit? We are about to go through one and I have the Audit Protocol, but I was wondering how intense the auditor was to you? We are SQF Level 2, so I was wondering if it's as intense as that, or if it's more casual? I'm fairly new in the Food Safety world and built our program from complete scratch, I got us through our first SQF audit 4 months ago (we made a 95), but I'm still very nervous when it comes to experienced auditors looking through everything, though I keep everything fairly organized. I'm just looking for some advice from someone who has been through one on what to expect.

Thank you!

Haven't been through a coke audit, but have been through other "big name" customer audits. In general get familiar with whatever scheme/manual/supplier agreement requirements they have (looks like Coke has theirs available online: http://www.coca-cola...-expectations).

In general they dig deeper on tracebility and environmental monitoring programs. Know what scope of your business they are permitted to have access to and don't let them go digging through items you don't produce for them.

Customers vary, I've been through the ringer in a 3 day intense audit for foods intended for 4 years or younger, and I've had an afternoon chat with some dudes from corporate. The manual/scheme they hold you to is your friend.

My facility has been through a couple of Coke audits.  The auditor was very helpful and easy to deal with.  The audit itself seemed to follow a lot of what SQF is asking for (We are in the process of becoming certified at level 2 as well) but was not quite as intense.  If you have your SQF programs in place you should have no trouble passing the Coke audit.  Of course, it is always subject to the auditor themselves.  And there were a couple of items they had asked for that weren't required by SQF, but they were small and easily correctible.
