Hello Glenn, Any specific reasons to go with SQF as opposed to BRC for storage and distribution?
Thanks,
Jesus
In many (most?) cases the customer has the leverage.
if your choice there are several fundamental differences between BRC/SQF (for food anyway, no experience S&D) which are discussed in several places here. eg -
BRC just loves Risk assessment, do you ?
BRC uses letters to evaluate, SQF uses scores.
BRC is British retail oriented, SQF is American "oriented" (only direct experience BRC)
BRC contains non-safety requirements in a FS-specific standard, SQF separates.
BRC has purchasable, probably faster updated, directed Guidance, SQF has free somewhat (IMO) generic Guidance. Slowly updated (IMO).
etc.
