We process ready to eat nut/ berries and dried fruit powders and protein powders. Does anyone know if there is a certain temperature the processing rooms need to be at? We currently keep them at 68 degrees. Manager wants to know if it can be changed to 72-73 degrees.

Thank you

Hi, Sjohnson.

I worked previously at powders but not the same one as yours but we kept conditions around 25C and 50RH to prevent "moist" environment and condensation. This also for better working conditions.

The managers reasoning for this change is what?

We've been in several similar operations - all of them had temp ranges of 62-68 with diviation allowance on top end of 1 - never over 69.

Manager doesn't think it needs to be that low, but yes certain products will run on the machine better if its cold also better working conditions for the workers. I will fight this one to keep the temp at 68, i was hoping it was written Somewhere that it needed to be set at or below a certain temp for processing food.

Thank you all
