The question seems a bit vague to be honest but...

Metal Detectors, Scales are calibrated annually as a good rule of thumb by an accredited 3rd party. Metal detectors tested hourly (heavily pushed in that direction by several auditors from X times daily) and scales validated daily with calibration weights. Thermometers are so cheap and disposable they don't make it a year so they are validated daily, prior to use using the K-state method (ice water etc.).

Annually seems to sufficient for the two and I cannot reference a code or CFR. to back that claim. Just say what you're going to do and do what you say and get documentation.

Here is the K-state method if needed. Auditors love to ask the basis of your frequency and methodology.

hope that helps

Hi, Zahid.

You may want to check this however, I believe there are already some threads here referring to what you have queried.

https://www.ukas.com/.

You may also want to check your local regulations if you have something specific for a certain equipment. Noticed that your country have metrology section. They might have specifics for food.

Is there any standard available for calibration?

Calibration A set of operations that establish, under specified conditions, the relationship between values of quantities indicated by a measuring instrument or measuring system, or values represented by a material measure or reference material, and the corresponding values realised by standards.

So Calibration of What ?

The OP is not vague, it is (finitely) unanswerable.

Kind Regards,
