Though I'm not in the food industry. Once you cut the 50 lb bags, how do you immediately get rid of used bag to prevent leftover contents from going all over the place. Is there a technique or machine that we are missing?

Can you be specific?  What type of bags?  What are you doing with it?  How are you currently opening the bags?

You could dump the bag into a proper bin and record the lot(s). You could also roll the bag up, tape it shut and write on the bag the date, initials, etc.

Some additional explanation would be useful as mentioned above..

All the best,

No tape please!  Decant remainder into food safe container, put a label detailing

What

Lot

Expiration

Weight

Alternativly, adjust batch sizes and/or size of bags your purchasing so you can use it all once opened
