Hello. I need assistance with writing a verification planing procedure for an edible oils and fat manufacturing company. Does anyone have a sample they can share?

Hi Shere- Dean,

 

I presume that you are referring to 8.8 Verification related to PRPs and the hazard control plan, I’ve added examples of verification activities to give you some ideas:

 

The organization shall establish, implement and maintain verification activities. The verification planning shall define purpose, methods, frequencies and responsibilities for the verification activities.

The verification activities shall confirm that:

a) the PRP(s) are implemented and effective; Internal Audits, Hygiene & Housekeeping Audits, Reports such as Pest Control, Complaint Analysis, Environmental and Water monitoring etc.

b) the hazard control plan is implemented and effective; Internal Audits and Product Testing, Review of Process Control Records

c) hazard levels are within identified acceptable levels; Product Testing

d) input to the hazard analysis is updated; Internal Audits

e) other actions determined by the organization are implemented and effective.  Internal Audits and Product Testing, Review of Process Control Records etc.

 

The organization shall ensure that verification activities are not carried out by the person responsible for monitoring the same activities.
