Hi,

We are producing a "dairy free" product in a factory that normally has dairy in every finished product.

As part of the validation of confirming "dairy free" (making it totally allergen free) what would the testing limit be for backing up this claim as dairy free?

Hi RS18,

We are a dairy facility also that manufactures a few allergen free items.  We complete allergen swabs on our equipment to ensure there is no milk allergen present prior to manufacture.  We also segregate and label our non-allergen containing items in our warehouse.  The production line for allergen free product is labeled "allergen free" and employees are instructed of the importance of making sure there is no cross-contact.  We do not test our finished product for dairy.
