Hi all,

as mentioned in the title, I need to make a very short presentation for a technical role interview. I have to draft a plan of actions that I would follow at the start of my new role. The business is a retail restaurant, they make Asian food which can be purchased as take away in shops. They have kitchen in every shops plus a central kitchen where they make some meal compnents e.g. sauces.

A very early draft:

30 days

Assess my self against the new role/company to find strenght/weakness

Understand team members/managers to see where urgent support is needed

Find ount if any urgent food safety issues pending from the past

60 days

Analysis of customer complaints to find out food safety issues

Gap analysis for quality management system VS standards (i.e. BRC) with focus only on main aspects (i.e. allergens, foreign body control, metal detection)

90 days

Analysis customer complaints to find out food quality issues

It needs a bit of work but your suggestions would be very appreciated! :)

Thanks,

Paolo

Full review of last 2 years corrective actions and deviations as well as Audit reports.

Review CA reports and implementation/effectiveness of those corrective measures

60 days

Analysis of customer complaints to find out food safety issues

Gap analysis for quality management system VS standards (i.e. BRC) with focus only on main aspects (i.e. allergens, foreign body control, metal detection)

Have developed a plan to implement changes that need to occur (based on 30 day findings)

90 days

Analysis customer complaints to find out food quality issues

review of working instructions/SOPs for failure and improvments

It needs a bit of work but your suggestions would be very appreciated! :)

Thanks,

Paolo

What is the role?

Food Safety?

My first order of business when I assumed the role of a food safety manager overseeing FS for a chain was to launch an inspection on each outlet -- first day like a customer, next as a compliance inspector -- wow, can this jumpstart you!  What an eyeopener that was.

A sort of technical manager, supporting a senior role in food safety and quality.

Thanks.
