Hello,

I saw in an NSF  FSMA webinar that Canadian food safety system  is  recognized by FDA.

I am looking for a formal document to back it up in a case of an audit.

Also, during the SQF audit we were asked to add radiological hazard to our HACCP plan as per one of the FSMA requirements.

If FDA recognize Canadian Food safety system does that mean that I  don't need to chance anything to comply with FSMA?

We are CFIA registered / licensed.

Thank you!

heres a link to the FDA statement as such

https://www.fda.gov/...s/ucm498611.htm

No, it does not, it just means that our basic system matches theirs as far as attaining the same level of food safety

If you are exporting to the USA then you also need to meet the FSMA requirements (nutso I know but whatcha going to do)
