We are FSSC Certified, so we are about to do medical screening for food handlers and Food Safety Team. So my boss is arguing why should Food Safety Team be part of medical screening. He wants legislation that indicate so.

Can you help me with legislation family

Legislation will be specific to your country, but in general anyone who spends time in the factory could pose a risk - hence screening for visitors too.

We put everyone who spends significant time through the same screening process as the factory staff, so all of the QA team, the warehouse team etc.

Unfortunately most of the time "boss" will be expecting that the standard will  be prescriptive but that is seldom the case. The food safety team should be there because they represent the closest thing to the ideal skill set.  Incidentally what does the FSSC clause say? I completely misinterpreted the BRC clause and assumed it was a "Not applicable" when in fact all there are  simply asking for a policy that states what conditions prevents food handlers or visitors from being permitted entry to the site for cross contamination reasons.
