Hi everyone,

I have a question re: clause 2.4.8 Contract Manufacturers. We purchase finished goods from another company that packages it in cases with our branding on it. They do not direct ship to our customers, they ship it to us and we look after sending it to our customers with their regular orders. We've always been of the opinion that this doesn't count as a contract manufacturer, but as a normal supplier that falls under our Supplier Approval Program. Is anyone able to confirm if this is correct?

Thanks! :)

That is a contract manufacturer - no doubt.

I do believe it falls under "Contract Manufacturing" : Production of goods by one firm, under the label or brand of another firm.

Imo this will fall under contract manufacturer as you are already purchasing finished products and not raw materials/packaging.
