Well after an exciting couple of weeks I can update for this year's audits:
BRC Food Issue 8 - AA, 1 minor

BRC Agents & Brokers - AA, 2 minors

Could really do with a nice long sunny bank holiday weekend now, instead of traipsing to the airport to fly to a conference...

Congrats on audits. Fingers crossed some sun stays in UK after this BH. Although Tesco now has the circular chocolate tubs. So... Christmas is coming :ejut:

Initial SFSF Audit for my sites = 5 or fewer minors for each site.  Pretty proud.

I feel like I'm finally able to peer out of the dark hole that has been audit prep for the last six weeks.

Hi Franny,

Have a look at this thread:
https://www.ifsqn.co...c-radiological/

If you haven't already got a copy of the BRC document detailing the changes between issues 7 and 8 I'd recommend that, it's available from Participate I believe

BRC Food 8: AA with 5 minors

IFS Food 6.1: Higher level 98,88% with 4 C-scores

The year before and even before that with another auditor the same grading, But the anxiety never stops. I sometimes think it gets worse...

Grade A - 8 minors

One of which was the lack of use of a reference thermometer for validation of thermometers - we were using the ice and boiling water techniques.

Another was a case where the internal auditor had to audit her own work.

Cheese purchased from a site that was not BRC certified - but after the audit i found the IFS certificate in the file,  at time of inspection it couldn't be found in a state of panic!

Trolley cover bags were not blue.
