We are a producer of Shell Eggs and receive nest run eggs from "suppliers" which are purchased by a broker.  Now the broker has a SQF Certificate but the actual supplier does not.

My question is "do we need to have the supplier fill out form abiding to the rules stated in the SQF Code.  I believe 2.3.2 & 2.4.4

2.3.2.4    Raw and packaging materials and ingredients shall be validated to ensure product safety is not compromised and the material is fit for its intended purpose.  Verification of raw materials and ingredients shall include certificates of conformance; or a certificate from the applicable regulatory agency.

Or does the SQF Certification from the broker in which we purchase the eggs suffice?

By the way this is for SQF Code 8.1 Manufacturing Safety and Quality  Modules 2 & 11

We have just used the broker's certification.
