Hello folks,

We are looking for a lab that can do compressed air microbial testing in Canada. We are currently working with TraceAnalytics on oil/particles/water dew point pressure etc., but they do not have a microbial testing kit.

What we need is a kit to reduce air pressure, then a specific type of agar plates where air is blew onto. We contacted another lab who sells the microbial kit at somewhere $1500-2000, which seems too high for an annual testing.

Does anyone know a lab in Canada that can do this on-site, or we can rent a microbial testing kit from?

Your help is really appreciated!

Hi,

Did you ask Silliker or Maxxam Lab?

Hi,

It is no longer Maxxam, it is now Bureau Veritas.

Thanks guys, I just shoot an email to Silliker and Maxxam (they replied me in BVlab email! Took me a second to realize who that was lol)

Just wondering is there any other specific lab working on air testing in Canada, like Trace Analytics?

I'm actually surprised that Trace doesn't do air microbial test.

Hi, here at Trace Analytics we actually do offer compressed air microbial testing for our customers in most locations in North America!  Depending on where in Canada you are located, we might be able to help. Our micro lab opened recently, so the service is fairly new, but we offer Total Plate Count, Gram Staining, and Chromogenic Identification of indicator organisms. We use a Pinocchio Super II to take the sample.

Please give us a call at 512-263-0000 ext 3, or email us at serviceteam@airchecklab.com to see if we can help.

Here’s more information on our microbial testing: https://www.aircheck...ial-iso-8573-7/.
