"Revision of ISO 9001:2015 rather hastily slimmed down principles of quality management. Point 0.2 of the standard presents not 8, but 7 principles. The removed one is system approach to management. Was it unnecessary?."

A different but interesting style of analysis on twist in management principles of ISO.

As written in the analysis, I totally agree that "system approach is essential in managing a modern organization. In the system approach we view the organization as a set of elements connected to each other with relationships and striving to achieve a certain objectives. The concept of system is very versatile since it refers not only to the organization but also to machines, people and even entire societies."

The revised standard has included the system approach in the process approach.  The reasoning is that all processes exist as part of a system, however, they must all work together in order to achieve the output.

To me, there is a significant difference in "System approach" and "Process approach". The same mistake was performed earlier when the terms "Product" and "Service" were merged as a single term "Product". The term "Service" with unique features and differences got hidden. System approach focus on system - the globe, and the process approach focus on process and set of processes - the countries or regions. You can not ignore the importance and organizing nature of human body (system) while giving importance and keep studying the individual systems or set of processes within it.
