Hello,

We are a distributor of glycerin as well as a manufacturer of myristic acid in beads form.

In ISO 22000, do we need to retain sample for incoming raw material for both of them?

Please assist me.

Thank you.

Your topic asks about retain samples of products you manufacture & distribute. And then, you ask if you should retain samples of incoming raw materials. Please, clarify your inquiry.

Hi Gabrielle,

As per eveything in ISO standard :

1. Decide what is relevant following your risk and hasard analysis

2. Say what you do (procedure)

3. Do what you say (apply procedure)

Iso is different than BRC and IFS. Those two will say "you must do that", and sometimes, you need to do it even if it is not relevant. ISO ask you to ensure that you won't hurt the consumer. So you need to decide by yourself what is relevant. And you will need to prove that when you do what you said, it ensures your product won't hurt the consumer.
