Is it okay to do external calibration every two years for incubator & analytical balance?

Hello,

 

May I know is it okay to do external calibration once in 2years for incubator & analytical balance? Because we doesn't use it everyday.

What do you use them for - is it something relevant/critical for food safety?

 i use it for microbiology test about 3 to 4 times every month .

We monitor our incubator with an internal temp calibrated logging "button" that is checked for both high and low alarms each week, including temp pattern. I would definitely recommend calibrating much more often if you have no monitoring system. This way if your incubator temp reading does not match your monitoring device, either one or both need calibration and it creates an action.
