Hi all,

We already have a established HACCP plan, now we plan to produce Organic products with non-organic.

To maintain organic integrity, I am working on analyzing hazards and finding Organic control points. My question is, can i just add an extra column to hazards table (organic) or do i need to make complete new plan for organic with organic control points.

Appreciate your responses

It likely depends on how similar the flowchart and hazard analyses are.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

We do organic product as well as non-organic - we don't have a separate plan, just additional sections to cover organic. Bare in mind our process is 100% the same as non-organic just with organic raw material.

If it's the same production line just consider things like cleaning etc. - we have to clean the machine down and conduct a potable water rinse to then clean off the cleaning product, as this will affect the integrity of the product.

Your organic certification body should provide you with a standard to comply to which should help point out the extra steps required to ensure integrity.
