Hello,

I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else was having issues with glove supplies due to Covid-19? I've called all over and am having difficulty finding availability any input on where to look? :)

I don't think there is much big supply chain issues with PPE any more, at least in the US region (not sure about your location).

There were some issues earlier this year (April/May) but now it is available mostly.

Located in Oklahoma I called Bunzl. They are having a shortage. I called Uline they have a 2 carton limit. Grainger is back ordered.

In the Midwest we have still been facing some PPE shortages, especially with gloves. Luckily our supplier has a few other material options to choose from. Instead of the nitrile we usually get, we have been getting vinyl, or vinyl blend gloves in a rainbow of different colors.

I also live in the Midwest. From the beginning of this all - our suppliers basically told us - they would supply us with what we normally ordered at a time. If we were to order a ton more aka stock up - they wouldn't guarantee anything. What I assume they did, made sure they could supply their regular customers with their typical orders before they took on any new client.

In the midwest we ran short of the color we typically used in production; had to modify our programs to make sure we had the leeway to use different colored gloves in the event of a shortage.

Our PPE producer only produces one type of gloves per week (24/7). This minimizes the downtime so that they can (try) to meet the demands.
So we also had to switch brands.
We are currently using Gen-X branded gloves that still seen to be on stock.

Good luck.

I am in the Midwest and we have been having the hardest time finding gloves. Our normal supplier has been telling us since early summer that they wouldn't have anything until this spring. Luckily, we always have kept a 9 month supply but that supply is completely gone. We have ordered from every possible place online but can typically only purchase one case maximum orders. There are a lot of gloves available but the majority are NOT food grade so we can not use them. Or the price is so ridiculously high we don't even bother.

We bought reusable gloves so when we run out that is what we are switching to.
