Hi members. Your views is required on the following situation. An organization is going for ISO 22000 audit. All their documentation were issued dated 10 Aug 2019. These documents were reviewed last year and no changes were proposed. This year they plan to go for ISO 22000 audit. Is it recommended to retain the old date of 2019. In my opinion if there were no changes identified, they can still go for audit with old issue dates for documentation. There are no such conditions specified in their control of documented information. I welcome any recommendation from contributors.

I have not deal with ISO but with SQF you can used the old revision date.  I would do a internal audit on each procedures and review those procedure.  When reviewing those procedures make sure you put down all procedure are working and their are meeting all requirements.

Hope this help.

As long as you have evidence that the document has been reviewed and no changes have occured, or if they have, what they were.

You may have a reviewed date on the document and then a list of changes made as a summary at the start of the doc, if any changes made these are noted.

Review date   Comments

18/02/2019     Doc reviewed, no changes

25/03/2020     Added authorised signatory.

When I conduct my annual internal audit, if I make no changes, I just put "reviewed" by that part of the code (I use the SQF Checklist as my Internal audit checklist), and link the document.  This way I don't have to go in and do this year after year.

Not sure of your standard, but I think they all function similarly.

Same. I use a table at the end of every Policy and Procedure to record 5 or 6 years worth of reviews / audits. If there are no changes I enter: "Reviewed" and / or "Validated" with the date of the audit or review.
