Hello to all food safety heroes out there! I was asked from the owner of a food processing company if he has the obligation to print the logo of the certification body in his packaging materials (1st packaging). During his recent re-certification the auditor insisted in writting down as a minor non-conformance the fact that the company hadn't printed the certification body's logo there (in the 1st packaging). I asked to see the contract with the certification body (the use of logos section specifically). There was no written obligation.
I asked the owner to talk with the auditor and ask her the source/base of her thinking. As far as I am concerned there is no such requirement written or implied in the standard. Have you ever came face to face with such an experience? Thank you in advance for your answers. I wish you all the best! Vasilis
