Hello all, my company has recently set up CIP system for cleaning of various equipment's and I am completely new to monitoring the effectiveness of this system. As of now, I have been doing micro test ( TVC, Y&M and, coliform) of post rinse water every time we run the CIP system followed by random ATP and visual inspections. I have not had any problems so far. But I was wondering is this really necessary to do it every time we run CIP? Also, do I need to record the conductivity, time-temp, flow rate every time the system runs? Will having a SOP  with defined parameters be enough to say the CIP is good enough?  I would really appreciate if  you could share your monitoring  and verification /validation practices? Thank you, -Sam

Are you running regular titrations on your CIP chemical concentration to validate that it is in the correct range?

We run weekly titrations on all of our chemical concentrations to validate that they are within the proper ranges.
