Would a consumer sensory testing lab be inspected by the local health department?  State of Virginia. My company is considering installing a sensory lab at its HQ and having outside test subjects come to the facility for food sensory testing. Before we begin construction we need help navigating all the regulations involved with this project.

The answer is YES!!!!!!!!

Even if it's just to get participants loyal to the brand

If it's not up to code you could still make someone sick, why risk that

Please stop referring to me as Sir/sirs

Like Scampi said - yes. Should be only state/local and not federal regulations. (University food science labs/kitchens are inspected)
