Good morning all,

I just wanted to introduce myself and say what an amazing platform IFSQN is! You all have helped me in more ways than none!

I started my career labeling for RTE Meal Prep and made my way to QAM.  I left my most recent company for an opportunity as a specialist for a large brand company. Each location runs independently and this plant is still considered a start up.

I'm not used to being at my desk half of the day in comparison to my previous roles. It's allowed me to learn alot of internal policies and procedures and find the gaps.

My bosses are amazing and really are allowing me to discover and learn and implement as I see fit.

I've started trending, scheduling internal audits, implemented EOD reports, daily feedback for the floor etc.

I was hoping for some advice from fellow reg. peeps, and what your goals were when you started?

I just am curious what you all have done on your day to day?

Thanks!!

Initially I just wanted to get my HACCP cert.  Seemed like something that would help my career.  Everything fell in line from there - Food Safety, SQF, AIB... everything.  Glad you are with us.  This is the greatest and most comprehensive group around.

Cheers!

Hello and welcome to our forum. Your duties would depend on how many subordinates you have. In my situation, say, I have none - so, I do everything myself, including inspections, audits, record verification, documentation development, preparation for GFSI or other audits, mock recalls, sampling and submitting samples to the lab, trainings, etc., etc. Good luck to you on your new venture!
