Hello all,

Is clorox germicidal bleach suitable for a portable foam unit? I'm currently establishing a drain program in our organic facility and would like to use bleach as the foaming solution on our drain. I've used this unit in my previous role, but with quaternary ammonium instead and it met our needs  (environmental testing's and such).

Will using bleach produce foam like solution?

Below is the link to the foam unit:

No, bleach will not foam at all, the solution needs a surfactant to foam

Simply Crystal Green (last time I checked) was approved for organic facilities, is quite inexpensive and foams nicely, then rinse, then a bleach rinse should do the trick beautifully on drains
