Request to see the Company Policy with respect to drinking in stores/warehouses.

Then act accordingly.

There is only a procedure for personal hygiene. As for the warehouse, it's not talking about the cleanliness check.

Hi np88,

So wnat does iso 22002-4 require ?

There are numerous threads here on drinking liquids, usually water, within the Production area. It is typically a question of risk assessment /  "control".

Kind Regards,

We took control of this pretty easily by creating policy that banned food and drink in the production areas and allowed it only in the, approved, employee dining areas.  It saved us from having to do all of the additional work for threat assessments and the paperwork needed for it.

Charles is right that it is all about control.  I just my direction to save the risk and aggravation.

Cheers!

You got it  :spoton:

The easiest way to manage risk is to eliminate it.

Hi np88,

JFI here is an example (ex SQF) of text for a possible Policy -

Smoking, chewing, eating, or spitting is not permitted in areas where product is produced, stored, or
otherwise exposed. Drinking of water is permissible only under conditions that prevent contamination or other
food safety risks from occurring. Drinking water containers in production and storage areas shall be stored in
clear, covered containers, and in designated areas away from raw materials, food packaging or equipment.
