Good Morning, I recently reached out to our CB regarding their process for appealing NC's post-audit. They are advising that a denied appeal will result in a fee of $865. Is this normal?

Depends on your CB's policy: I guess every CB has their own. Though, I've never been through this kind of process before, so don't know much.

I appealed using NSF as the CB, no charge  (and I had it overturned)

I've never had a CB issue a fee for a failed appeal within the allotted appeal time. I guess every CB is different, but this seems odd.

Best,

There is a CB that I do know does this.  I don't understand why though as I feel it is kind of way to deter someone from appealing.  Especially a small company that could not risk it on the off chance they were wrong.  Just my thought though.

This is our situation exactly; I lost a point for not having formal auditor training. We bought the SQF package from IFSQN so I used their auditor training powerpoint s evidence but the auditor did not approve. I wanted to contest since the code says training does not need to be formal.

Ask them if you can get refund or coupons when the auditor finds no NCs next time.
