Are we required to issue training comprehension quizzes for subjects which only involve Management and/or members of our SQF Team? This would be very difficult for us as many members of our management are off-site. I'm REALLY hoping we only have to have comprehension quizzes for trainings for front-line workers. Fingers crossed as this would be very difficult for us.

To which scheme are you certified? SQF doesn't require "testing" per se, it only states that there be "verification that the trainee is competent to complete the required tasks." (2.9.2.3 Manufacture for Food Packaging, Edition 9) and actually a test or quiz doesn't technically prove competency, just that they answered the test questions correctly. We used to use testing for this but now we use our training records to prove competency and at initial training have employee sign that they have received and understand the information given to them as well as instruction sheets (from the SOPs) for reference so they have resources to answer questions they might have, or they can ask supervision. Also refer to 2.9.2.1 i - ix for management requirements which also don't refer to any testing. Hope this helps and maybe makes your training a little easier?
