Is it mandatory to have NSF registration for Food Grade Lubricants? Currently our supplier is giving food grade declaration on his letter head.

According to BRCGS  a food grade declaration from the supplier is sufficient

I'm surprised BRC say this ?.

 

"Food Grade" per se is a significantly misused terminology in this context, see -

Some suppliers refer to "Food Safe" (maybe borrowed from detergents) which IMO is slightly less questionable assuming they include the GRADE.
