Hey guys!

BRC vers. 9

'Where personnel are engaged in threat assessments and food defence plans, the individual or team responsible shall understand potential food defence risks at the site. This shall include knowledge of both the site and the principles of food defence. Where there is a legal requirement for specific training, this shall be in place.'

How do I find out if there is a legal requirment for specific training in a specific country?

:)

Hi AJL,

Most likely you can find some information on the website of the local competent authority.
If this is too much of a hassle to search for every country but you do need this information: you can also ask a FSQ consultant from that area.

I don't believe there is a legal minimum training required in the EU.
However I do recommend to get some training on the subject.

Thanks Marloes. 🌞
I have a lot of other courses I would rather take 😉
I understand the concept very well and I have written our plan.
I just find it the MOST depressing section.
Our staff are SO lovely. So it's a really weird assessment, at least when it comes to deliberate contamination from staff 😭

:yay:  :yay: Love to hear you have great staff! :yay:   :yay:

But food defense is also off course also about outsiders who wish to do harm
- Competitors
- Neighbours
- Outside organisations with an opposing agenda (environmental, religious etc).
- Plain evil people

Yes all of those I have incorporated into the plan of course.
One of our sister companies was cyber attacked!
Crazy huh!
I follow all the food news so I have heard about events like the needles in the strawberries in Australia - all of that.
I just don't want to see the bad in anybody so I really find it THE WORST.
It's also amusing because my father in law occupies the neighbouring buildings.
Preventive actions: don't get a divorce??
