I have a question concerning exports to countries outside of the US. NRTE products pathogen testing on finish goods.

Thanks,

Teresa

Are you asking if countries you may export too are sampling for Listeria on N-RTE products?

If you, Canada does not sample for listeria on N-RTE products (imports or otherwise)

Greetings Teresa,

What is your product and do you have a target country/ies or in general? For example EU legislation mentions checking Listeria only in RTE products, but Salmonella (since you mentioned pathogens) must be tested in a variety of NRTE products.

Other regions/countries may vary a bit but the general guidelines should apply somewhat the same.

Regards!

Hi tcarpenter,

Please avoid double posting. It can cause confusion.

Possibly also related to this thread -

As indicated in  previous Post, the Scope of yr query needs to be narrowed with respect to Product, destination, Language and possibly Pathogen. IIRC some limited Global compilations (ex FAO/Codex) did exist many years ago but, afaik, no longer. The details for some individual Countries can sometimes be Novella sized .

You can get some ideas of possible Geographical permutations if you study the compilations in the links within this Post which includes both RTE and NRTE  items -

EU legislation might only require testing of Listeria in RTE products, but customers tend to require it in non-RTE products anyway.

What are your customer requirements?
