Hi all,

I am working on a gap analysis between ISO 22K against BRC and IFS for a bakery.

Has anyone already done one or can they guide me in right direction as to where and how to start this?

Also ISO 22k has clause 4.1 & 4.2, which are not in any of the other standards (BRC & IFS) from my perspective, however, if anyone thinks differently please advise?

Many thanks

Ankit

Helllo...

I think you can start with a breakdown each clause of that all regulation.

and start reviewing and discuss it from clause 4 to the related dept

4.1 The Organizations and its Context, it is like a SWOT Organizations analysis (Internal Issue & External Issue)

4.2 The need and expectations of interest parties are like Context organization, need & expectation related parties.

Both of that clauses usually use the document "Risks & Opportunities"

Hi Graduate,

Yr initial request is known as a cross-matrix.

These used to be in common use but the problem was/is they need updating quite frequently so are now less available. AFAIK there is no matrix for current versions of standards you mention.

Iso-haccp is rather different to BRC/IFS (Codex) haccp and the philosophy/operational structure of iso22000 is semi-borrowed from iso9001.

Regarding 4.1/4.2, the document attached may help overview yr request but lacks specific examples. The latter do exist within sub-forum iso22000 if you search a bit.

Thank you Charles, I have completed the cross referencing between ISO22 and BRC and now working on ISO22k and IFS.

Once completed if anyone interested I can share the document here.

Many thanks

Hi Ankit,

FWIW, these cross-matrix links/threads were relevant several years back and might be of limited interest -

https://www.ifsqn.co...-v6/#entry86909

(Italian,BRC6 vs IFS6,excel)

https://www.ifsqn.co...-v6/#entry87004

(English as per previous but in .docx)

I also found this BRC4 vs iso22000(2005) vs IFS4 vs etc in my archives which is a truly amazing cross-matrix but goes back ca 13 years -

Attached File  cargill - cross-matrix,Multi-Comparison FS Standards ca 2010.xls   72.5KB   38 downloads

For a slightly different format style (sort of reversed) can see this (probably) BRC6 vs IFS6 model -

https://techni-k.co....safety-ifs-food

ISO22000's close relationship to iso9001 (2008 era) is illustrated in this nicely formatted file -

https://www.ifsqn.co...e-5/#entry33194

PS - Yes, would be much appreciated if you can upload yr finished documents. Maybe get some free comments also !

Kind Regards,

Hello World,

just took a look into this thread as I am supposed to set up a gap analysis betweeen IFS Food v8 and BRCGS Food v9.

Online I found a made up checklist of IFS v7tov8 and next to it BRCGS v8tov9 so I simply consolidated them into one. When I am done to implement newest doctrines or other things to it, i can put it here if someone wants to. Finding the Gaps is easy that way.

kr

Robert
