Difference between incidence reporting and emergency preparedness

Greetings Prasanthi,

The incidence reporting is when something actually happens and you record it along with everything else (why, how, when, who etc). Emergency preparedness is let's say the recognition of all possible scenarios that could go wrong (concerning mainly out of our control things eg fire, flood, earthquake, power outage, pandemic etc) and the measures we have in place for dealing with them (even if it is "run for your lives"!!!).

Regards!
