Hello IFSQN community,

I’ve been following the insightful discussions on this forum for a while and wanted to get the community's perspective on a major operational shift we are currently navigating.

Operating out of France, our QA team is feeling the pressure of the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. Navigating through 2026, the ongoing push of the EU’s "Farm to Fork" strategy, coupled with the inevitable digital transformation expected in core QMS frameworks (such as the highly discussed ISO 9001:2026 revisions regarding data streams and AI governance), means our traditional FSMS is requiring a serious upgrade. The era of static compliance documentation is ending, and auditors are increasingly looking for integrated, live traceability.

Right now, we are conducting a deep gap analysis of our current systems, focusing heavily on our food contact materials (specifically packaging hygiene under EN 15593) and end-to-end supply chain traceability (EN ISO 22005). Ensuring our entire manufacturing process aligns flawlessly with the latest harmonized European Standards (EN) is our top priority. However, mapping out the precise overlaps between voluntary GFSI-benchmarked schemes (like FSSC 22000) and mandatory EU regulatory references requires constant vigilance.

I’m curious how other QA Managers and compliance officers are handling this transition:

  1. Are you already restructuring your HACCP and ISO/FSSC 22000 documentation to accommodate the new digital traceability and sustainability tracking requirements?

  2. How are you managing the integration of environmental frameworks (like ISO 14001) into your core food safety audits, given the new climate-action amendments?

  3. For those managing complex EU supply chains, what internal audit rhythms or resources are you relying on to stay ahead of these standard revisions?

Would highly appreciate any insights, strategies, or shared experiences—especially if you’ve recently faced a rigorous recertification audit under these new expectations!

Best regards,

Victor T.

Two things. If such a fan of the forum, why link to a commercial enterprise in your first post? Also why use AI to write it (there are giveaways I'm afraid.)

Hi IFSQN, apologies if it came across the wrong way! English isn't my first language, so I rely on translation and grammar tools to make sure my technical terms are correct
