Hi everyone,

I’m André, founder of Nutrifena LLC, based in Florida.

We’re preparing to import food products under our own brand and sell them online in the United States.

Our first shipment will be relatively small and includes:

  • Food flavorings (30 ml bottles)
  • Vitamin C powder

I’m trying to make sure everything is done correctly before shipping.

From my understanding, I will need:

  • An FDA-registered manufacturer
  • An FSVP Importer
  • Product testing by a U.S. laboratory
  • Proper FDA-compliant labeling

I have a few questions:

  1. Am I missing any important FDA or import requirements?
  2. Is there anything specific to Amazon FBA that I should prepare in advance?
  3. Do you recommend working with an independent FSVP provider or a company that also handles customs and logistics?
  4. Are there any common mistakes first-time importers should avoid?

If anyone here provides FDA/FSVP consulting or has experience importing food products into the U.S., I’d be happy to connect.

Thank you!
