One of my biggest concerns are the differences between (a) Codex Alimentarius (b) European Legislation (or even American Legislation) and © National Legislations. In many cases, especially when european companies deal with 3rd countries, we face this problem with producers being harmonized with the Codex Standards but not also with the european standards (the example of additives is very illustrative) and sometimes not even the national standards are in full relation to the European legislation.
I find it very hard trying to cooperate with people which do not understand (rightfuly..!) why their products are not accepted in the eu while they comply with the Codex Standards.
Do you think that the world will ever achieve a global standard for each issue so that such problems will disappear?

Although I understand and admire your initiative Kelly the answer must be no. Not a chance in the world. I have more chance of becoming the next James Bond.

Simon

Charles I think we should beware all auditors, they are in the same division as tax inspectors, traffic wardens and call center personnel.

An auditor coming for inspection driving an Aston Martin would be a very impressive one though! :2cool: Just don't trust me preparing his Martini
