What is the Cash Accumulator?

The Cash Accumulator is a fantastic new feature of the SaferPak Discussions Forums. Every day the SDF Management will put £1 into the Cash Accumulator pot. The pot increases by £1 every day (including weekends) until the pot is won.

How can I win?

We've thought of a word. The first member to use this word in a post wins…it's as simple as that!

Are there any rules?

Members simply posting unconstructive rubbish in order to try and win will not be eligible. Also the word has to be written by you and not in an attachment, or quote of any kind. In determining eligibility our decision is final.

Why are SDF giving away money?

To encourage more posts and for a bit of fun.

There's a £1 in the pot…

Happy posting!
Simon

... this word in a post...

Thinks: No. It can't be that simple. But if it is, I've just won £1 rather than hanging on for a couple of days and getting enough for a decent pint. Oh well, let's see.

Great idea, Simon!

rgds Jim

I was struggling for the level to pitch the first word, this being new and all. In the end I went for a middle of the roader (I think), it's not antidisestablishmentarianism or anything smart ass like that, but it's not ‘no' either. Sorry Jim. :crybaby:

Simon

I though I was being smart (o how often have I thought that only to be proven wrong) by taking your sentence The first member to use this word in a post wins…it's as simple as that! to mean literally that I might win by posting "this word in a post".

Well - it was worth a try.

OK - one more attempt then I'll leave it to others: Saferpak Food Packaging Safety Consultancy and Training

rgds Jim

PS may we ask questions in order to narrow down the search?

Jim,

I was on your wavelength..

I like your idea of narrowing the search - Is it a Film, Play, Book or person?

You are smart Jim, it's me that's the numpty.

Well guys I do want people to enter into the spirit but come on we're only at a quid. You can certainly ask questions to narrow down the search…it's called posting a new thread. :P

I will give clues at a later date if necessary.

Simon

There's a fiver in the pot.

I'm going to get some sort of counter set up on the front page to add to the excitement. I can hardly contain myself.

Yes of course I will - if needs be. One of the ideas behind the CA is to encourage more posting and in theory the more you post the more chance you have of winning. Consider it as a bit of a reward for regular posters. If you don't think about it and just post as usual you never know it could be you.

OK the word is relevant to the subject matter on the SaferPak web site and is not especially weird. There that's narrowed it down a little from the 180,000 or so words in the English language.

Regards,
Simon

What can I say Yorky - that sure is an extraordinary array of fruit you've assembled. The problem is the answer has nothing to do with fruit. The clues are cryptic my friend (very cryptic indeed). I'm giving this not insignificant amount of cash away before close of business Wednesday 22nd December.
