We have a customer which wishes to have us remove the Product Description of the product only leaving the Product Code as the descriptor. And also remove our company information from the labels. We manufacture flavors to add to a finished product on their end. This is business to business we don't sell to final consumer. I have read through the threads and have not noticed specifics to the above. Would love to help them out, but trying not to fall out of compliance with FDA or our GFSI scheme. It would still have:

Their Name and Address, Product Code, Our lot number, Best by date, Weights, Allergen info, Storage method. Any help :helpplease:would be greatly appreciated.

First, send your customer a note and ask WHY.

Last time we saw this, the customer decided to sell the product under their name andcthat was fine however their was still the issue with recall, identifiers wtc.

@SQFconsultant Thank you for the reply.

We did ask they are worried about customers walking through there plant and them seeing where they are getting thier flavors from.

The vibe we get is confidentiality.

With recall/tracing we still have our product number and lot code on the labels.

Any thoughts on the legality of sending products omitting that information?

This link may really be of use to you

it would appear you do not have to include that ON THE LABEL, must you must provide it to the customer (not retail)
