Morning all. I have searched and googled until I can google no more. I am looking for a Vaccp template for a food wholesaler.

We have about 100 suppliers and everything comes in packaged (ambient, chilled, frozen and packaging) and leaves in the same way. We could buy between 10 and 50 products from each supplier. All the VACCP documents I have seen so far are for manufacturing and purchasing of ingredients. Does anybody have anything or any advice that could help me? Thank you in advance.

Based on info you provided VACCP is not intended for your type of operation.

In a recent DC we were involved with that handled same as your company both TACCP and HACCP applied.

Hope that helps.

Hi Wholesaler100,

Food fraud is for sure a thing for wholesalers.  And prevention programs are important.

Food fraud can affect wholesaling operations in two ways:

1. you (the wholesaler) could accidentally buy non-authentic product, then sell it to your customers; you would be committing food fraud without knowing it

2. people within your warehouse might steal product or replace it with cheaper 'fakes' and divert the genuine product to unauthorised sales channels (grey/black markets).

For that reason S&D operations and wholesalers should have food fraud prevention programs.  They don't need to be complicated.
