Dear All,

The Pumas players were not only able to win for second time to France in this RWC, but rather also laughs Chabal.
I thought that it would be more difficult for Argentina and easy for the Bocks. This went to the inverse one; Les Bleu didn't find the way for penetrating with effectiveness and England complicated him the game to RSA.

Despite the pre-match tabloid newspaper hysteria and me talking big before the game, I fully expected England to get a thrashing off the Boks. In the end, but for a small slice of lady luck and a few microns here and there they could have held onto the trophy for another four years. If they had won we could have explained their victory as an amazing company based on spirit, but in the end South Africa prevailed and they were the best team of the tournament and worthy winners. One thing is for sure, Rugby Union as a game has gone up a long way in my estimations. The game is packed with action and tension and the players really do put body and soul on the line. They put football players to shame. It was a fantastic tournament and I personally can’t wait until 2011 in South Africa.

Regards,
Simon

hum! I really prefer rugby as a sport, not as a sculptural art, but your point of view is interesting too, cazyncymru!

Don't worry Simon, as a french supporter I can say english team wasn't ridiculous during the match -not as ridiculous as the french team against the Pumas!-, that was a pleasant match even though there wasn't any try. RSA team was better than english team, but they were very courageous.

That is my opinion about the match, nothing else to add...We'll go and see in 2011, but we will have another 'fights' before it...

Emmanuel.

Dear All,

It’s only a personal opinion but I thought the French opted out of what I think they do the best – running with the ball. Not to deny the ability of the Pumas who “did it their way”.

I heard a pre-match managerial prediction that the final would not be pretty since history only remembers the names of the winner. Rather depressing philosophy but reasonable summary of the game. The style was indeed rather déjà vu, so so much kick to the touch, or kick and run (borrowed from soccer’s “long” ball maybe). Now I remember why I stopped routinely watching English rugby (and certain football teams). The SA lineout control was overwhelming and they simply appeared to have more belief in themselves on the day.
.
@ Cazx, didn’t know the “Italion Stallion” played rugby as well.
