Hi everyone :helpplease:

Can anyone please help me with the following question "what is the relevance and contrasts of Deming's 14 points with respect to the 8 management principles in ISO 9000:2000"?

I have only just obtained internet excess at home and have carried out some research on the subject, but as yet, i have been unable to find anything that actually makes reference to the two.

Thank you for your help, in advance.

Carla

Hi Carla,
Your question can be answered by studying Deming's System of Profound Knowledge (SoPK).
I believe I posted a visual within Saferpak that references his system. If you don't find it here, post a reply and I'll send you a copy of the visual?
The bottom line here is; the ISO standards as they stand, miss the point in many ways regarding understanding variation, information management, systems thinking and psychology.
I guess there's lots for you to consider here yet, it's always good to gain a sound foundation to your future understanding of the correlations to and with system and ISO.
Regards
Wallace Tait.

I'm not sure if this will help Carla, but I tried some time ago to cross reference Ed Deming's 14 points with both the ISO 9000 principles and the EFQM Excellence Model concepts,
