A little more background information on the type of facility and what you produce would help.Typically this depends on the facility size and need. We contract our pest control out since we do not staff anyone with pest control expertise. In our facility we use tin cats, light traps, and pheromone traps. The company we use supplies us with the facility map and where the traps are as well as the numbering. If you have to ask where to apply the traps, you may be better off hiring someone who is a subject matter expert to give you a good plan of attack. That way you can say you did your due diligence to prevent an infestation. Of course this would be a small part of proving that.

Are you looking for a map? What we have used in a regular plant layout of our facility and added small differently-colored stickers to indicate the location of tin cat traps, light traps, outside bait stations and the like.

That way, if there are changes, moving the sticker is all that is required. I sign off on it annually or when there are changes, either due to activity or building expansion.

You can do it in Excel, although I would not recommend it. If you have someone on staff that is proficient with CAD, loading up a floor plan/site plan and then adding the monitoring points would be ideal.

You can also accomplish it with pretty much any full featured "drawing" software such as SmartDraw or the like.

I created the attached in SmartDraw. While it's certainly not to scale, it serves the purpose.

Attached is a copy of the map that our outside pest service provider uses for our facility.
