Does anyone use a software system to track their master sanitation schedule?

We use Safefood 360 which has made tracking our sanitation so much easier. The schedule includes how to clean the area/item (and you can even attach the SSOP) and what chemicals to use. We can access this anywhere since it is web based program. The managers can see daily what needs to be cleaned. Once they have marked that the item has been cleaned, QC can perform our pre-op inspections (visual and ATP) and record the results which I can see immediately.

I can easily trend the information and present all this funin our monthly meetings. The program does many other things but my favorite isthe fact that it eliminates a lot of paper work.

Regards,

Jennifer

I currently use Safefood 360. In the past I have used a product called Kleanz from Nexcor Technologies.

If you are fairly proficient in Access, you can build your own solution that will do a pretty decent job.
I also have an Excel workbook that was originally distributed by the American Bakers Association (I think) that I have extensively modified to do work lists, completion reports, completion percentages, trending, etc.

What specifically are you trying to accomplish by going the software route?

Safefood 360 sounds perfect!

Our Sanitation Coordinator who has been with the plant for 50 years (!) is retireing next year and we need to get everything out of his brain and preferably into software rather than on paper. We're looking for something that I can program to tell us when certain things need to be cleaned/rebuilt/checked on on a frequency that is too easy to forget like every 6 months or quarterly.

Well, it's not really that easy. I'm assuming your sanitation guy has, over the years, evaluated whether or not the frequency of the sanitation tasks are relevant and not just "how it's always been done". I'm assuming there has been some validation studies done to ensure that the sanitation tasks are actually effective and appropriate.

That being said, the Cleaning module in Safefood 360 will certainly do what you are looking for. The application is much more than just a sanitation task scheduler, so I would suggest that you request a free trial of the application and see the other benefits it may bring to your organization.
