Hi - I have attached a sample of a very basic label control procedure. It should be enough to give you a sense of the type of control that should be exercised.

Dear QA alpha,

I would imagine any Label Policy will rather depend on what the product / process is, eg whether a possibility exists of direct food contact or not.

It's unclear to me what you are actually requesting, eg label design / approval, label safety, label operational control, etc.

Kind Regards,

Dear Charles,

In fact I was looking for the label design and approval part. By that I mean the process of label approval by the company authority followed by the customer and the label print control and its monitoring (especially during pasting the label on the product packages-ours is a fish processing company and we do label the products at the time of dispatch (apart from the usual traceability codes and grade marking which we do for the traceability online). Now I hope my query is clear to you,

kind regards,

QAMalpha

Dear QAMalpha,

Thks details.

IMEX, a typical example is something like this -

Label Approval Policy

Type sample / print details are supplied by customer.
Printer provides sample from pre-production trial run.
Actual sample or copy transmitted to customer.
Approval given by customer to commence production (or Not  ).
----------------------------------------------------

Accuracy of finished product visually controlled at reception / in-production.

Have never had significant problems with pasting of labels.

PC controlled, self-adhesive, label printing is very convenient / flexible but demands some significant investment and IT skills.

Kind Regards,
