Use following formula
Concentration of final solution required (ppm) x Volume of Final Solution (ml)
No of ml of NaOCl Sol required = ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Concentration of NaOCl Solution x 10000
In case you are using 5% NaOCl solution and want to make 100ppm solution. The calculation is simple for X liter of water you need to add 2X ml of NaOCl solution.
Hope above helps

Hello.
Bleach is basically sodium hypochlorite with a concentration of 5.25%.
This is .0525 when expressed as a decimal. To get parts per million, you multiply is by 1,000,000
So, the bleach solution at 5.25% is 52,500 ppm.
To figure out how much water you need to add to dilute it to 200ppm:
52,500 ppm * (how much water to add) = 200 ppm
or X = 200ppm/52,500 ppm, or .0038 ml per ml of water or .0038 gal per gallon of water
or
3.8 ml per liter of water
or
2.4 oz per 5 gallons
