Hi Folks

I'm looking for a template for the design and sign off of packaging .

I thought of a few areas that i need to cover.

1.       Order placed for Packaging; date etc.

2.       Template sign off

3.       Artwork, who designed it, date of sign off, etc.

4.       Production: Signoff- i.e. does it work in the factory

5.       Maintenance: Will the packaging spec comply with the factory equipment,  size, temperature etc

6.       Plastic Spec

7.       Labeling Legislation, signed off.

Has anyone a template that works for them.

Kind Regards

Shane

I use a Packaging Approval Checklist -- and serves as a reminder of all the things we need to look at when we are signing off on packaging.  We then give this sheet with the packaging "proof" from the vendor to the QC department to keep in its file. That way they have a point of comparison for inspection when the production quantities arrive at the factory.

Dear scmgee,

I suggest the terms safety / quality should be in the list somewhere ? perhaps via a Product Specification.
