Additional requirements of FSSC 22000 include Supervision of Personnel. Auditor is asking a documented procedure for that. Could anyone please explain what should be included in the procedure?

Requirement as per FSSC 22000 is "The organization in the food chain shall ensure the effective supervision of the personnel in the correct application of the food safety principles and practices commensurate with their activity."

Thanks!

Not familiar with FSSC, but I imagine it would be composed of:

An organizational chart showing who has responsibilities for oversight

A training register identifying the training requirements for each position

A training SOP which indicates when and how training will be conducted, and how efficacy of that training is verified by observation/supervision and corrected when incorrect. This seems like the most important bit. They want you to document when/how often you will observe employees performing their duties to make sure they're doing them properly.

Excellent! That gives me a direction to work on.

Thanks
